Quality Assurance Technician



Quality Assurance Technician  

Local company is in need of a career minded individual to assist with inspection of incoming materials, in-process and final inspections in accordance with established guidelines. You will provide support to associates outside of the department with quality tools required to manufacture products and to communicate quality principles and practices.

Duties include but not limited to;

1.  Supporting the manufacturing operations by performing tasks in accordance with established and documented work instructions.

2.  Providing training and guidance in quality principles to associates both within and outside of the department.

3.  Ensuring the acceptability of incoming materials, in-process and outgoing products by performing the specified inspections and audits.

4.  Ensuring process capability by using appropriate analytical methods including capability studies, statistical process control, sampling plans and other statistical tools.

5.  Correctly interprets drawings, specifications, established standards (visual and dimensional), and other customer requirements and applies these to the product conformance determination process. 

6.  Correctly and appropriately uses all necessary inspection, measurement, and test equipment.

7.  Complies with all safety and company policies.

8.  Related duties as assigned.

 You must have the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondences and memos.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area circumferences, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry (basic math test will be given). Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. This position will require you to stand, walk, tolerate moderate noise levels, and lift 50lbs.     

 You must have a high school diploma or GED, 1-3 years experience in Quality Assurance or related position required. Experience working with ISO9001:2000 Quality System Requirements a plus.   

Hours: can be any shift- 1st; 6am-2pm, 2nd- 2pm-10pm, 3rd- 10pm-6am  

Dress Code: Jeans, T-Shirt, STEEL TOED BOOTS

Wages: $12+ Depending on Experience
